Best Face and Body Scrubs

Finding a seriously awesome body scrub yet staying away from microbeads takes a conscious effort. We all know these little pieces of plastic are harmful to our environment but they are still used in many different face and body products. I've tried to find the best body scrubs without these harmful little pieces of plastic.

One of the best face and body scrubs I've tried has been from Lush. Let the Good Times Roll smells like caramel popcorn. It costs $12.95 CAD for 100 g. It honestly smells so amazing and a little goes a long way.

I've also tried the sugar scrubs from Bath & Body Works. The Golden Sugar Scrub is a great option, my favourite scent in the line is Paris Amour. Another option is the Foaming Sugar Scrub, my favourite scent is the Pretty as a Peach. Both of these cost $16.50 CAD for 226 g. A great time to stock up on these is during the Semi-Annual Sale, which is on right now.

A less expensive option is used ground coffee grounds as a scrub. So after you brew your morning cup of coffee, take those coffee grounds to the shower. These grounds still contain caffeine which is one of the main ingredients in all those cellulite busting products. So really its a two in one, it doesn't add any cost to your life and helps with cellulite.

I'm always down to try new products, so if anyone knows of any awesome scrubs I need to try comment them down below!

November Favourites

So November is over, and Christmas is almost here. I'm not the biggest fan of Christmas, and I'm still missing Halloween. But Christmas means new makeup, and I'm all for that. I haven't had time to try new products (or the money), so most of my favourites are older products that I just can't get enough of. This month my skin has been so dry that products I initially thought I loved ended up not working for me anymore. If you live in Canada, you know how horrible our winters are (unless you live in B.C., then you don't understand). This year in Saskatchewan we've had barely any snow, and it hasn't been that cold. But since everything hasn't frozen over, everything hasn't died yet, so my allergies have been horrible. Favourites  My first favourite isn't makeup related which I know, surprising. It's essential oils. I never thought I would jump this hard onto the bandwagon. Because my allergies have been so bad I've been getting a lot ...

Sometimes You Need a Clean Start!

I recently got out of a relationship and thought this would be the time to express my one true passion. Yes, makeup is my passion. I want to finally express myself and my love of beauty. This is something I have always wanted to do, but have been too scared to try. Hopefully, this will get me out of bed and away from Netflix. I haven't decided if I want to showcase my nail art (even with my weak brittle nails), makeup looks and products or just some new beauty tricks I'm trying. I hope you will follow along with me while I start this new journey in my life. If you want any more insights into my life, I have linked my accounts on most social media sites. Enjoy!

ABH Modern Renaissance Review

So this palette has been around for a while now. I wanted to wait until the hype of the palette died down so I could give it an honest review. I wanted to wait to use it so I could take pictures of the palette in all it's glory. But I honestly couldn't wait that long, I had to use these shadows. This is the first permanent eyeshadow palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills. It is also the first shadows I've tried by ABH. I knew they were amazing but I did not think they could be this good. There are enough neutrals in the palette to wear for a daily look, and there's also beautiful berry shades that look gorgeous on everyone that I've seen.  There's only one shade in this entire palette that I don't think I'll wear and it's Realgar. The shade is too orange for me and I know I have to stay away from oranges. Other than that I've used every other shade and have loved them. These shadows are so creamy and blendable. They're also so pigmented ...
